SHIFT StyleHouse Made $1.5k In Organic Traffic Sales In 4 Months

SEO helped SHIFT increase their organic search traffic from 0 to 9.3% in 4 months, resulting to almost $1500 in sales!

The Challenge

Shift StyleHouse’s is a chic women’s fashion and lifestyle brand. The female entrepreneur behind the brand, Jasmene B, wanted to increase her store’s organic traffic through search engine marketing. She was successfully attracting traffic through social media and ads but was looking for a way to automate her traffic without putting in more work.

We started by identifying the types of customers she wanted to target. Although many people visited her online store, she wanted to target more woman interested in chic, luxury and versatile pieces to find her boutique online and purchase her products…

The Solution

We first did an SEO audit on her website, which had few but important issues. Once her website had been audited and fully optimized, we started performing competition research to find out which keywords users were using in their searches to find a brand like Shift StyleHouse as well as the products she sells.

When we found the right keywords based on the user’s search intent, we developed a plan to help users find her more easily starting with her overall website domain name. We optimized the content she already had with the right keywords, and we created more blog content to target those keywords and increase customer trust and SHIFT’s brand authority. 

The research process took about 15 days and we optimized up to 20 products on their site.  We added sections within each product section that led back to relevant blog posts similar to the product the customer is currently viewing.

We took time to restructure Shift’s navigation and link weight as well as header tags. Shift had no redirect links in place for outsold products which were sending 404 errors and effecting her ranking. We went through all of her out sold products and redirected customers to similar products or an out of stock landing page.

The Result

Our project with SHIFT lasted from January to August (8 months). From January to April, we focused on building quality optimized content and from April to August, we focused on conversion rate optimization, traffic, and search rankings.

Within the first month, SHIFT StyleHouse’s homepage was ranking on the first page of Google for “Chic Women’s Fashion and Lifestyle Brand”. According to her Google Analytics, by month two, she has received 11 organic traffic visitors from a variation of those keyword queries.

Overall, we wrote 8 optimized blog posts for SHIFT within a 3 month period. Within the first month, 2 out of 8 blog posts had attracted close to 300 traffic visitors from search alone (and growing).

From April to August, we were able to increase SHIFT’s organic traffic awareness from 0 to 9.3%, or 1,484 website visitors

  • Note (they weren’t using any search engine marketing within their marketing strategy so everything pertaining to search is from 0).

SHIFT’s conversion rate from search within, 4 months went, from 0 to .95% which resulted to 18 transactions ($1,488.64 in sales)
