Yes and no! See with Pinterest incorporating shopping, your ideal customer could be anywhere within their buyer journey.
Now if you are a service provider selling high ticket programs or courses you’re trying to build leads or sales from on Pinterest, YOU WILL NEED TO NURTURE the cold audience on Pinterest. This means start by building brand awareness on the platform creating idea pins and creating quality blog posts to use standard pins to drive traffic to in order to help with your brand credibility and authority.
I also recommend having a freebie landing page or good link structures within all blog post to collect leads, no matter what industry you’re in.
Now, a cold audience is actually pretty cool.
A consistent stream of new ideal clients (who are already searching for what you help with and offer!)… being exposed to your genius – all day, on auto-pilot? Doesn’t seem like cold traffic seems too bad.
On Pinterest, most people who see your pins have found them in search results, and in their smart feeds. They are NOT typically your followers – so, they likely haven’t already liked your page, followed your profile or boards.
So, they do need to be nurtured a bit. Pinterest will get you eyes on your content. Your content, lead magnets (freebies!), and email nurture sequence take it from there so some of them becomes paying customers!
