eLoad Sport Nutriton

eLoad Sport Nutrition is a Canadian sports nutrition brand for professional endurance athletes. eLoad has stopped all consistent posting on social media because the reach was limited. eLoad wanted an organic approach to use their blogs instead of social media to drive more people to their product pages and overall website.

The Challenge

The last blog post from eLoad dates back to 2018. Much in the sport nutrition industry has changed since then. Their target consumers are also searching for more natural and organic sport nutrition products. However, eLoad’s current blog posts weren’t answering the target problems of it’s potential customers. eLoad also had an active Pinterest profile set up but did not have a shop set up. They were also not apart of the Pinterest Verified Merchant Program. eLoad’s experience with Pinterest was traffic but no conversions.

Solution

Blog Content and Optimization

Before we worked on eLoad’s Pinterest account, we tackled the blogs because this is where we are going to be sending the traffic. We sat down with the director of eLoad to discuss the target concerns their customers, or potential customers, have with sport nutrition, running marathons or triathlons. We came up with a list of topics and researched the best keywords to target these blog post with using Pinterest trends and audience insights. 

Pinterest optimization

Once we created at least 10 blog posts, we set up eLoad’s catalog with the Pinterest Verified Merchant Program. We made sure that their products were optimized on their website so that Pinterest ingestion of their products were distributed to the right audience organically. We studied their previous audience insights to understand the pinner’s already interacting with eLoad’s content. We completely optimized their Pinterest profile, boards, new pins, idea pins and products.

KPI’s and Ad Campaigns

We sat down with the director of eLoad to understand their goals with Pinterest and how we can attribute a certain KPI to each goal. Ultimately, eLoad wanted more conversions but, they needed to meet the traffic and engagement requirements on Pinterest first in order for conversion ad campaigns to be successful. The goal was to get eLoad’s daily add to cart and daily checkouts to more than 50 a day before conversion campaigns were run. In the meantime, only consideration campaigns were ran to build traffic to new content on their site with fresh Pinterest pins and Idea pins.

Results

By partnering with The Marketing Prophet, eLoad’s conversion rate increased by 1.2% from Pinterest traffic which was originally no conversions from Pinterest. eLoad’s sales increased by 1.7% over the first 4 months from product pins, idea pins and organic traffic alone. By the 6th month, we reached the daily add to cart and check out goal and ran their first conversion campaign. The results were impressive with both video and static pin creatives. We ran the first conversion ad for 4 weeks at an ad spend of $25 a day towards specific keywords. Currently, they are averaging $10k+ a month from sales from Pinterest alone.

Maurices

Maurices is a fashion and lifestyle retailer for women ages 25-45. Recently, Maurices closed down 80% of its brick and mortar stores to strictly focus on an online presence. With this huge step, Maurices wanted to add Pinterest to their eCommerce strategy to target their ideal customer who uses Pinterest to shop and get fashion and lifestyle inspiration.

Before I started my own SEO and Pinterest marketing agency, I was the Digital Marketing Strategist of Maurices for 6 years. In my role, I helped Maurices with the goals of scaling sales and increasing their market share with modern women looking to shop for high quality clothing for a modern lifestyle. Initially, Maurices planned to budget for media spend on search and social advertising campaigns to drive sales on their e-commerce website. 

The Challenge

Once Maurices filed for bankruptcy and closed down most of its stores nationwide, there was negative communication against the brand from the women who shopped in their stores religiously. Maurices executives had to create a way to sell the online version of in store interaction the customers used to love. Maurices wanted to expand their market share to Pinterest for a way for their ideal customers to get inspiration for each seasonal fashion and lifestyle products using the same in store marketing techniques

Solution

Sponsored Product Ads: We developed a Pinterest advertising strategy that achieved Maurice’s growth goals. The sponsored product ads strategy not only expedited initial sales by putting ads on the top of the search results pages, but the high CTR and conversion rate of those ads also helped to increase “seller rank,” thus boosting organic search rankings as well.

Product Listing Page Optimization: We worked with Maurices to evaluate each product listing page in relation to competitors and Pinterest’s best practices. We generated a comprehensive strategy to improve each page with the goal of driving higher conversion rate and increase rankings in Pinterest Search. Optimizations entailed a number of tactics, including expanding high-quality images, optimizing descriptions with target keywords, and optimizing product parent-child relationships.

Positive Feedback: An email drip campaign was a key component to generating positive seller feedback, product reviews, and preventing negative feedback. Following best practices, we were able to develop an email drip campaign that resulted in more product reviews and reduced negative feedback of stores closings with an “24hr online shopping” approach.

Results

By partnering with The Marketing Prophet, Maurices sales increased by 273% over the first six months. By the 8th month, Maurices generated half of the revenue that Google search ads and email generated combined on a ROAS more than double that of search. Maurices ROAS came in at over double the projected goal after only three months of initiation and management, setting the stage for future growth while ensuring the channel is ROI positive. Overall performance exceeded Maurice’s expectations, prompting the client to double their ad spend the following year.

Nicolya Williams is the founder and life coach behind the life coaching certification, Elevate. She is also an 11x best selling author. Nicolya wanted to leverage Pinterest as a traffic generating machine where she can nurture the traffic into qualified leads through her email list. Her goal with Pinterest is converting leads into email signups, course sales, certification enrollments, digital product sales.

The Challenge

Nicolya already had a great content library to drive traffic from Pinterest to her site.

Her problem wasn’t necessarily traffic but funneling traffic and converting that traffic.

Pinterest is a cold audience and Nicolya offers high ticket services and low ticket digital products based on her authority in her niche. We needed to affirm the audience coming to her site from Pinterest and build trust with them which her content was not successfully doing before we started helping Nicolya with Pinterest marketing.

After auditing her content, we made improvements on her blog structure. We made sure to create cohesive blogs that captured the audience’s attention from the start as well as inserted funnels throughout the blog posts. 

We came up with blog post ideas with using Pinterest search trends to make sure we are targeting her audience at the right time and then using relevant keywords to help drive traffic to her content on Pinterest and then to her site.

Blog Content and Optimization

After we reworked most of Nicolya’s blogs, the ones that were generating the most traffic from Pinterest, we worked on her funnels. Nicolya had many funnels leading to different services so we focused on the ones that gave her new audience quick results and that also built trust.

We made sure to enter funnels at the beginning and bottom of her blog posts to capture audience’s attention fast. We analyzed her blog traffic and conversion from her blog traffic for 3 months to understand how the audience coming from Pinterest interacted with her content.

Once we created valuable blog posts and new funnels, we completely revamped Nicolya’s Pinterest profile and content. Nicolya was using a personal account so we switched her over to a business profile to understand her audience and how they use the platform to search for a brand like hers. We also set up Tailwind to automate her content for months in advanced.

KPI’s and Ad Campaigns

We sat down with Nicolya to understand her goals with Pinterest and how we can attribute a certain KPI to each goal. Ultimately, Nicolya wanted more leads for her certification program and more digital product sales. We expressed to Nicolya that Pinterest is a slow growing platform so in order to meet those needs, we needed to rework her content to address the needs of her audience as well as build awareness on the platform. The first 6 months working with Nicolya, we focused on building her accounts monthly views and engagements (outbound links and saves). Once we reached an average of 10k monthly views a month, we focused on building quality leads with her certification program. We started off with awareness and conversion ads with a daily spend of $25-$30 a day for 1 month at a time. Once we increased her website traffic and Pinterest awareness, we focused simply on conversion through her blog posts. 

Results

By partnering with The Marketing Prophet, Nicolya generated over 13k in lead generation that resulted to a 33% conversion. Nicolya’s website traffic increased by 536% within the first 6 months without ads and her reach grew to 10.2 million with ads (after 6 months).

Virtuous Bodies

Virtuous Bodies is a fitness, wellness and nutrition brand focusing on helping busy and postpartum moms prioritize their health and wellness. Virtuous Bodies is a 2 year old brand and the CEO, Dr. Tamara Richards, wanted to find a way to increase more awareness, credibility and traffic to her website. She didn’t want to soley focus on Social media for traffic and wanted an organic way for new people to find her brand and consulted us about Pinterest management. Dr. Tamara’s main goal with Virtuous Bodies were to eventually increase sign ups of her group coaching and 1:1 coaching programs.

The Challenge

Virtuous Bodies has the long form content that their target audience is seeking. However, the brand’s valuable content was hidden from organic search and only reeling in bits of traffic from Social media. The bounce rates on Virtuous Bodies sales pages for coaching programs were at 85% while her blog post bounce rates were less than 50%. More visitors were interested in the content and felt no need for a group or 1:1 coaching program. We decided to crack down on how we can not only lead more organic visitors to her blog but increase the amount of page sessions to her coaching programs from her blogs. Thus, decreasing bounce rates for both pages. Instagram and Facebook were Virtuous Bodie’s number one traffic driver before Pinterest was introduced.

Blog Linking Structure

Before we worked on Virtuous Bodies Pinterest account, we took a look at her blogs. We worked on building a strong linking structure from her blogs to relevant coaching programs or digital products. We then went through each blog and optimized page titles and body copy and meta descriptions to help with SEO on Pinterest and Google.

Once we finished the blog optimization project, we focused on building Virtuous Bodie’s Pinterest account from the ground up since it did not exist before then. We focused on her customer’s avatar, what keywords they were using to find a brand like Virtuous bodies and dove into Pinterest’s audience insights and trends. We fully optimized Virtuous Bodies Profile, boards, and added fresh pins to all boards created using their blog posts.

KPI’s and Ad Campaigns

We sat down and wrote out the best metrics to track on Google analytics as well as Pinterest that will measure the effect of people coming to their site, consuming their content and heading over to the group coaching call pages. We set up conversion metrics through Pinterest as well as on Google analytics to study all visitors visiting Virtuous Bodies’ website from all entry points. The only ad campaigns ran were consideration campaigns to help drive more relevant users to their blog and landing pages for their group coaching programs. We also ran campaigns to Virtuous Bodie’s Meal planning membership program.

Results

By partnering with The Marketing Prophet, Virtuous Bodies was able to replace Instagram and Facebook with Pinterest as their number one traffic driver in less than 6 months. Their monthly traffic from Pinterest in 8 months increased by 133%! Virtuous Bodies were able to land their first two high ticket coaching clients (at their new prices!) within their first 8 months with Pinterest. This was a value over $4500 in ROI. We were also able to decrease the bounce rate of all group coaching sales pages by 31% which means more visitors stayed on these pages longer. Virtuous Bodies discovery call sign ups increased by 3% from Pinterest alone in the first 8 months as well. Virtuous Bodies has also increased her membership program signups to 17 people within the first month’s launch straight from Pinterest
