Good question, let us break it down
We love to follow the new Pinterest best practices for campaigns in order to see a good ROAS, CTR, Traffic and Conversion for our clients.
Pinterest recommends if you’re running a conversion campaign, to see results, run at least for $30-$90 a day for at least two weeks which ranges from $420-$1260. However, from experience we recommend at least $1500/mo.
For consideration campaigns, it’s recommended to spend $25-$50 a day for at least 2 weeks
For Catalog campaigns, it’s recommended to spend at least $30-$60 a day for at least 2 weeks
On average, our clients see a good ROAS of greater than 1 when they spend at least $$1300-$1500 on conversions ads for a two week campaign.
Keep in mind, we only run conversion ads in your 3rd management month or if your Add to cart or Checkouts are greater than 50 per day.
Otherwise, we’d be running consideration campaigns to bring you in more traffic first to see the best results in month 3 for conversion ads.
We also focus on getting a good CTR rate for you.
CTR helps to know if Pinterest is pushing your ad out to the right people
If your CTR is less than 55%, this means the pins used for the ads were not interesting to the audience chosen
If ROAS for leads, signups is low (less than 1), that means your landing page needs help. Basically meaning, your audience isn’t resonating with the landing page like they did with the pin. This is when we will analyze your landing page and give you recommendations to increase conversions on your landing page.
If we find out that your checkout ROAs is less than 1, we aim for a high “add to cart” ROAS (at least 10) to get at least 1-3 checkouts for you.
Our average goal for each client is to to obtain:
- A CTR above 55
- Add to cart/lead/signup ROAS above 2
- Checkout ROAS above 1
