The P.R.O.V.E Method is method I created to guide bloggers and online entrepreneurs on how to build a successful blog traffic strategy. Over the past 6 years as a blogger, and now global digital marketer, I have learned what it takes to have a successful blog when it comes to attracting traffic that engages with your content.
P.R.O.V.E is an acronym and it stands for:
- Position
- Reach
- Optimize
- Visibility
- Evaluate

1. Position
In order to grow your blog traffic, you need to
- Convince Google that you have Authority through backlinks
- Create relevant and quality content for your target audience that
- educates
- informs
- entertains
- inspires
Now, you need to have a balance of these two in order to grow your blog traffic and create position in your field of blogging.

2. Reach
Blog reach is the number of people who see your blog post from NOT visiting your blog site first.
In order to grow traffic to your blog, it’s important to use Off Page SEO to reach people OFF your website and bring them back to your blog.
Social media is a great Off Page SEO tool you can use to increase the reach of your blog site. I suggest you use social media platforms with good search engines. Here are a few:
- Youtube
Don’t just rely on people hopefully finding your blog through search. You have to use CTA’s (call-to-actions) on other platforms to bring people to your blog as well!

3. Optimize
The third way to grow your blog traffic is to optimize your site and content using keywords. Keywords are what we use everyday to conduct a search. We use keywords when using Google, Pinterest, Amazon, Etsy, Youtube and more.
The goal is to attract the right traffic by using the right keywords in order to for Google (or any other search engine) to show your site in search results.
There are short tail keywords, long tail keywords and brand specific keywords. Here is an example of each.
“Budget Solo-Female Travel for Women of Color“= long tail keyword. It’s about 4-6 phrases and it’s very specific and has less competition. You can check the competition of keywords on sites like SemRush.
A short tail keyword from that same phrase would be “Solo-Female Travel”. It’s about 2-3 words and the competition is usually high which means harder to rank for.
Brand specific keywords are when someone types your brand into the search bar. Your site, or mentions of your business will pop up in search results.
To grow your blog traffic doesn't just mean sprinkling in keywords to try and rank.
See, the catch to actually rank in Google AND attract the right traffic is to do keyword research in order to understand your target client or audience.
It’s also important to do competitor research in order to optimize the right keywords to beat out the competition.

4. Visibility
Speaking of different countries, you can also grow your blog traffic from different countries!

If you sell a product or service that’s digitally available worldwide, globalizing your content online can be a huge opportunity to expand your services abroad.
So, what countries should you target? I suggest starting with the countries you already are attracting traffic from that isn’t your home country.
You can find what countries you are attracting traffic from by taking a look at your website or blog analytics.
If you use Google Analytics, just click on:
- Audience
- Overview
- Demographics
then you will see where your traffic is coming from and what language they speak.
5. Evaluate
The last step to grow your blog traffic is to evaluate what’s working and what isn’t.
This is where you want to take a look at your analytics. Your analytics are a cheat sheet inside the mind of your traffic visitors.
Analytics will show
- where your audience lives
- what device they use
- how long they stay on a page
- how they landed on your site
- what links they clicked
and more!
Understanding this information will help you evaluate your current content strategy to adapt to the way your audience reacts to your website.
